Tips

Here are a few tips to think about before we take Pictures.

Portraits:

  1. Have a good idea of what you want; I will have my own ideas based on things we talked about, but I am taking these photos for you, so ideas you have during the session are very important to me.
  2. How ever you decide to dress is fine, but think about your choices. These are pictures that you are going to want to show people, so don’t wear anything that will embarrass you later. Also consider where the pictures are being taken, think about colors and contrast. I, of course, will help you with this, but I cant dress you myself.
  3. Above all else, you MUST express yourself, weather it’s talking to me about your needs, or just your appearance in the photos, expression is the point of taking great photos!

Modeling/Band/Acting Portfolios:

  1. Don’t wear logo wear; unless of course you are being paid by that band/store that you’re wearing.
  2. Bands – without looking like a “poser” dress your scene, have ideas for scenery that will accent the look and crowd you’re trying to impress; and it always helps if I can hear your sound before we shoot.

Advertising:

  1. Although I love the challenge of a blind shoot and coming up with ideas that I feel will best represent you, if you have a story board or ideas for the audience you are going for, let me know them or see the story board. I want you to have an advertising campaign that will increase your sales while making you look good.
  2. Find a graphic designer, if you don’t know one I know a few and can get them in contact with you. The photos are only one part of the AD, the rest of the presentation will come from someone talented in the workings of logo design and image manipulation.
